Links
Links is a performance for a mass audience of approximately 20 minutes. It was set up during a performance course of American performance artist Diane Torr at the Glasgow School of Art in 2003.
In this performance, the participants sew their pullovers together and walk down the main pedestrian Sauchiehall street in Glasgow on a Saturday afternoon when it is filled with shopping people. The linked pullovers made it impossible for the performers to split up and give space to meeting pedestrians, thus forcing others to give way instead. Co-performers were Maria Øy Lojo, Caroline Rodger, Heather Spackman, Maria Ledinskaya and Laura McRitchie.
